Founded in 2001 and based in Athens Greece, Potfleur is the record company that presents the unreleased to date 60s & 70s modern music from Greece.

The boom of modern music in Greece during the 60s & 70s by a new generation of artists, resulted in the creation of the following three great music waves: the Greek beat scene, the Greek jazz scene and the modern film music from Greece. Most of the recordings that those musicians made, and probably the best ones, were never released on records. Potfleur, after a extensive research that lasted more than 10 years, has gathered all these recordings and proudly presents them through excellent editions; laminated digipak CDs & 180gram vinyl housed in gatefold hard covers, using the original master tapes in all cases.

Potfleur has started releasing for the first time the modern 60s & 70s Soundtracks from Greece featuring groovy, shake a-go-go, jazzy & bossa nova tracks. These soundtracks feature a combination of unique and talented arrangements, the erotic Mediterranean mood and the jazz culture of the Greek composers. The Potfleur soundtrack releases unveiled these hidden jewels and placed their originators in the elite of the European film music composers.

In the near future, the Potfleur label will start releasing the 60s Greek jazz scene from studio and night-club sessions. Finally, we will proudly indroduce you two more labels of Potfleur, which will present the 60s Greek beat scene featuring garage and mod-soul bands from Greece.
